Meet my e-book, Fertility Lab Insider

Dear Reader,

Until now,  I have avoided commercializing this site. No “Donate” button. No Ads. No product endorsements. Except for one.

I am pleased to announce the publication of my new “baby”, the e-book Fertility Lab Insider. I have compiled and reorganized the best posts into sections and chapters and added new material. Chapters in this e-book include, “I’m not getting pregnant, Now what?”, Getting Ready for IVF, Diagnosis and Choosing a Treatment Plan, Paying for IVF, Behind the Lab Door, Freezing Eggs, Sperm and Embryos, Cycles that Go Wrong, New Technologies Bring New Questions, Treatment Checkpoints and Patient Tools. An Embryo Photo Gallery, Glossary, Insurance Codes and a list of suggested questions for your fertility doctor are all included in the Patient Tools chapter. Additional resources are available if your e-book reader supports Internet surfing, because the blog links are retained in the book.

If you don’t have an e-reader, you can download a free Kindle app from Amazon which converts your Mac or PC into a virtual e-reader. If you download it to a device (like your computer or iphone) that allows internet surfing, you’ll be able to link to all the referenced sites, charts, videos etc, like you can from the blog. I opted NOT to use the DRM (digital right management) so you should be able to use it on multiple devices. The lending feature is also enabled.

Writing a book, especially an e-book, has been an adventure for me, particularly in the final sprint, over the weekend, when I became best friends with an Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing support person who reset my uploaded book content version to “draft” several times as I struggled with the formatting. Thank you,  Pratheep S.,  you have the patience of a saint. 🙂

Here’s the Amazon url to buy the book. Priced at $9.99 with instant download.

Also available through Barnes&Noble for Nook users.

If you love it, please consider writing an Amazon review. I’d really appreciate it.

Thank you!

Carole
